CREATIVE MEDIA EVALUATION TERM 2/3 IN ANIMATIONISH!!!!!!!
I quite enjoyed the task we were given for creative media the last two terms, I think it tested us as individuals and tested Tori and I as a team. I think Tori and I worked well as a team. She was willing for change and was able to pick up my slack when I was away. We also had many of the same ideas so it was easy to then both decide on a idea for a story line.
Our ideas at first kept changing as we had to many. This wasting valuable time which I think really costed us in the end as in the last few days we had a lot to do. I would of liked it that we finished a bit earlier so we would have more time to polish the film, and it would put Tori under less pressure if I was away the last week. We originally only had a plan to do one song in our film, but when we finished early we decided to do another song. This was a good idea but it would have been good if we arranged this earlier.
The Story Board was very helping during the process. It allowed Tori and I to set which scenes we were going to do, and clearing explained what to do for each scene. This saved a lot of time and I will definitely use this method again when making another film.
In our first song we hand drew everything and the film was quite unique. The song we used was ET by Katy Perry, and basically every lyric had an action to it in the film. This was pretty straight forward and all the actions are written down in our story board. Although some of the actions written in our story board were just to hard to bring to life, so we had to simplify a few details. this made a significant amount easier, and made the process quicker! I am also a horrible drawer so I tried my hardest to make the images to look like real things, but when I used the drawing pad Also we had to take a lot of note to transitions, from scene to scene, as this made the film run smoother. The next step was to place each scene in iMovie with the song and check the timing. This was quite time consuming as we had to go back and forth from animationish to imovie to make the timing perfect. I was quite pleased with our first film as I thought it was quite original.
Our second song Last Friday Night, also by Katy Perry was quite a bit easier to make, and I am also pleased with the end result. When we decided to do this song we had about two weeks left. So we had to quickly draw a story board up and get straight to work. We used a bit of a different theme in this film, as we didn't draw anything but actually get lots of pictures of the streets and cities and used Katy Perry as the Actor. This was quite simple to do and when you watch it, the way we made her move gives a humorous vibe about the film which I quite like. In this film we didn't really have transitions like in the first film, we just made each scene go strainght to the next one, which I think actually suited this type of film. It did take quite a while to photoshop out the background behind each image of Katy Perry. We aslo spent quite a lot of time googling pictures of Katy to match the action she is doing in the film. Of course we were running out of time, but luckily Tori saved us (I was sick)and managed to do extra scenes and polish the whole thing up by herself.
Tori then put both of the films in Imovie to make one big song, which will look and sound really cool. If we were given the chance to do this again, I would go with Tori again but try and get a clear plan straight away and allow at least a week for polishing, and I'd also like to do credits if we had time.I really did enjoy this task and would happily do it again (please ahaahah).

VICTORIA CARRINGTON
Well Mr Powell as you may or may not have noticed I have been away for the last week as I am VERY SICK!!!!!!!. Tori was kind enough to complete my scenes as I was unable to do it. She had to do so much in so little time and should be given extra credit for that (wink wink nudge nudge ;).
THANKS TORI XXXX
